Our Sources at Metal Wood Business Cards

Here at Metal Wood Cards, we believe in a world where our natural environment can coexist and thrive alongside man-kind. In order to make this happen, it is important that we give back more than we take from our environment. It is also important that our supply chain utilizes sustainable practices from the top down.

We make sure that we give back more to our planet than we take away by promising to plant three trees per order placed through a service called Plant a Billion Trees. By re-planting trees, we are helping to conserve the planet for future generations. By switching from irresponsibly produced paper or plastic to wood for your wood gift cards, wood business cards, wedding invitations, and more, you are helping to save the planet that we call our home from deforestation while at the same time reducing the carbon footprint that humans create each year.

In order to effectively create a “green” supply chain, we’ve had to develop partnerships with local businesses and manufacturers that share the same ideals. We have been successful in developing very reliable partnerships with several wood furniture crafters that allow us to gather and use their wood scrap and by-product in the production of our wood business cards. In addition to utilizing wood that would otherwise go to waste, we sometimes use reclaimed wood. Reclaimed wood often comes from man-made underwater forests. Instead of continuing to deforest living above-ground forests, we like to utilize wood from forests that have already died off. All of our wood is from FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified sources. The FSC is a council that was setup in the early 1990s in response to growing concerns of worldwide deforestation. The FSC offers a certification process that provides internationally recognized recognition to organizations interested in responsible forestry.

Sustainability and maintaining eco-responsibility is at the top of our concerns here at Metal Wood Cards.
